Following the educational session, the Tepa Fire Service conducted a practical fire safety training exercise for the staff and clients of St. Edward Catholic Hospital, Dwinyama, in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region. The exercise provided participants with hands-on experience in handling fire emergencies and using firefighting equipment effectively.
Participants were guided through simulated fire incidents, where they learned the correct use of fire extinguishers, safe evacuation techniques, and coordination during emergencies. The training was led by ADOI Anthony Duah (Ag. Municipal Fire Commander), supported by DO I Cynthia Oppong Kyeremeh, STNO 2 Richard Akalog, and Fire Assistants Shaibu Naziru, Shirley Fordjour, Arthur Theresah, and Bashiru Issah.
Management of St. Edward Catholic Hospital commended the Tepa Fire Service for their expertise and commitment to improving workplace safety. The practical session highlighted the importance of regular safety drills and hands-on preparedness to ensure quick and effective responses to fire incidents within the hospital.
